An online tool for the study of Dante’s Divine Comedy, providing a searchable side-by-side comparison of the Petrocchi edition of the Comedy with Hollander’s translation. AlThe Princeton Dante Project (PDP) offers a complete, searchable electronic text of Dante’s Commedia and other works, with English translations (including the complete verse translation of the Comedy by Hollander-Hollander). The site also includes a database of interactive notes and commentary for studying Dante’s Commedia, for those familiar with the text and for newcomers to it. Above all, the PDP is an invaluable reference resource for scholars seeking quick access to searchable text and translations of all of Dante’s works. It uses the authoritative Petrocchi text for its digital edition of Dante’s Commedia, and major scholarly editions and translations of Dante’s minor works.
