The Medieval Digital Resources website (MDR for short) is a project of the Medieval Academy of America, the largest organization in North America promoting excellence in the field of medieval studies. The project aims to provide access to websites that contain content of interest to medievalists and meet the Academy’s scholarly and technical standards of web presentation.

Sources are vetted according to the Medieval Academy’s (MAA) Standards for Web Publication and formally recommended by members of the Speculum Review Board and the Medieval Academy of America’s Digital Humanities and Multimedia Studies Committee, all of whom are subject experts and/or digital experts. Websites chosen for inclusion in MDR are encouraged to display the Academy’s MDR logo on their website.

To nominate a new digital resource, please fill out and submit the Suggest a Resource Form. For general comments or questions, or to report any errors or other problems, please email mdr@themedievalacademy.org.

The database is built in WordPress.  Source code for the plugin is released under the Gnu Public License and is available for anyone to use or modify.
