Sturla ÃžÃ³rÃ°arson was a chieftain and writer in thirteenth-century Iceland. He also served as lawspeaker there from 1251 to 1252. The works written by Sturla include Ãslendinga saga, HÃ¡konar saga HÃ¡konarsonar, MagnÃºss saga lagabÅ“tis, ÃžverÃ¡rvÃsur and ÃžorgilsdrÃ¡pa.
He was also the nephew of Snorri Sturluson, brother to Ã“lÃ¡fr hvÃtaskÃ¡ld ÃžÃ³rÃ°arson, and court skald, or poet, of the Swedish ruler Birger Jarl. TLM
