Agius of Corvey

Possibly the uncle of Hathumoda of Gandersheim and the author of the Vita Hathumodae and the Dialogue accompanying it, Agius was a Benedictine monk and priest at the West Saxon monastery of Corvey. He ministered to Hathumoda’s community and was her own confessor and confidant, attending her during her final illness and death.
