Burchard of Worms

More than a century before the Gratian’s Decretum revolutionized the study of canon law in the Universities, Burchard of Worms wrote his Decretum. Although much smaller, Burchard’s Decretum was organized along lines similar to Gratian’s, for which it was a major source of information.
