Conrad was a monk who served as schoolmaster at the Benedictine Abbey Saints Peter and Paul at Hirsau, in the Württemberger Black Forest of Germany. The best known work attributed to Conrad is the Dialogus Super Auctores . Other works attributed to him include a Speculum virginium , altercatio Synogogae et ecclesiae , and Dialogus mundi contemptu vel amore .
