Title: Rabbi
Alternate names/spellings: Eliezer ben Nathan
Dates: 1090 - 1170 ()
Rabbi Eliezer bar Nathan (1090-1170) was a well known Talmudic scholar of the twelfth century who also wrote liturgical poetry, some of which became standardized worship for German and Polish communities. Scholars know more about his life than any of the other three authors of the First Crusade Hebrew chronicles, and his scholastic interests can clearly be seen in his account.
