Born in 1350 in Gerona, Vicent Ferrer was a Dominican preacher, philosopher and theologian. Though he is perhaps best known for his preaching efforts, some of his earliest works included important tracts in philosophy, such as Queastio de unitate universalis and Tractatus sollemnis de universali. Ferrer served as an advisor to the monarchy in Aragon, as well as a prior who took an active role in the Western Schism (1378-1417). Ferrer died on April 5th, 1419.
