Hilary of Poitiers

St. Hilary was the bishop of Poitiers. He played a major role in the conflict between orthodox Christianity and Arianism, in a time when it was unclear which would become dominant. He was an influential theologian. The fragmentary writings of Hilary’s that survive provide insight into the conflicts in the church in the fourth century.
