Dates: 1366 - 1366 (These are the dates Knighton, Henry flourished. )

Henry Knighton was a chronicler of fourteenth-century England and a canon of the abbey of St. Mary’s in Leicester. Little is recorded about his life except that he was present when Edward III visited the abbey in 1363. His four-part chronicle covers the history of England from 959 to 1366, when he presumably went blind. The fifth book of his chronicle was added by a later writer. TLM
